Patricia C. Habic

Patricia Catherine Habic, 79 of Elkhart, passed away on Dec. 6, 2016 at 6:00 am at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, Goshen.

She was born Dec. 14, 1936 in Elkhart to the late Charles and Mary (Murray) Cook.

Pat graduated in 1954 from Elkhart High School. On Sept. 28, 1957 she married Ray Allan Habic, the love of her life.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Michele Habic of Cassopolis, MI, a son Charles Habic of Elkhart and a daughter Theresa (Habic) Uribe; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Habic.

Patricia was co-founder and owner of Gillette Generators, Inc. with her husband Ray. They successfully ran the company for 41 years until they both retired in 2013.

Pat enjoyed traveling the world with her husband Ray. She loved reading a good crime novel and spending time with her family. “Pat’s dependable, honest, humorous, consistent, passionate and respectful manner will be missed by all who loved her”.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday, Dec. 16th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and for an hour prior to the memorial service at 11 am Saturday, Dec. 17th at the funeral home.
