Patricia L. Hammond

Patricia Lou Hammond, 84, of Middlebury, passed away Tuesday March 4, 2025, at Goshen Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1940, in Menomonie, Wisconsin to Barney and Bessie (Hughes) Crandall. On July 18, 1959, in Menomonie, WI she married Leo Hammond who preceded her in death on October 29, 1999.

Patricia worked as a butcher for ESI Meats and was a member of Pathway Church in Middlebury. Patricia enjoyed playing bingo at the Salvation Army in Elkhart, taking time to solve puzzles, and work on all sorts of crafts. She also loved whatever time she spent by the lake.

Surviving are her sons Kevin (Ace Her) Hammond of Middlebury, IN; Brian Hammond of Benton Harbor, MI and a daughter Mary Hammond of Elkhart, IN. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bob Crandall and a sister LaVonne Schwartz.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes there will be no services.
