Patricia S. Myette

Patricia S. Myette, 93, of Goshen, IN died September 5, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Elkhart, IN.

She was born March 17, 1917 in Shrewsbury, Vermont to William H. and Nellie (Bursey) Savery. She married Francis Myette on December 21, 1938. He preceded her in death along with a sister, Myrtle Comptois and 3 brothers, William, Edward and Maurice Savery. Surviving are 2 sons, Thomas Myette of Dayton, Nev. And Frederick (Lynn) Myette of Seneca, SC; A daughter, Phyllis (Jim) McGinn of Goshen, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Myette was a registered nurse at Rutland (Vermont) Hospital until 1957. She moved with her family to Sarasota, FL in 1957 and continued working at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital and for Dr. Patton, an Opthalmologist. After her retirement, she worked in Long Boat Key at St. Armond’s Circle at the Square on the Circle for many years. She divided her time between Elkhart and Sarasota until 2006, when she moved to Goshen to be with her daughter.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church in Rutland, Vermont at a later date.
