Patricia "Pattie" Atkins

Patricia “Pattie” Atkins was born on June 26, 1944 and passed to eternal glory August 16, 2024 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN. She was born to Wayne and Dorothy Chamberlain in Ionia, Michigan. 

Pattie graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, MI. She worked at CVS as a forklift driver in the distribution center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Greencroft Retirement community in Goshen, IN.

Pattie is survived by her sister Margaret “Maggie” (Tom) Rose; daughter, Stephanie Farnham and Mark Prough, son, Douglas (Edy) Gillett and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved by many in her community as a caring soul who enjoyed games and outreach. Her smile was contagious, and she never met a stranger. Her love of reading kept her busy on quiet days and gaming was her forte. Pattie was preceded in death by her parents. 

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday September 14, 2024 at  Greencroft Goshen, 1721 Greencroft Blvd., Goshen, IN 46526 in Manor 3, Garden Room with Chaplin Greg Grotbeck officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of service. Memorial donations in memory of Pattie may be made to The Window, food pantry, 223 South Main Street, Goshen, IN 46526. Graveside services will take place on October 5, 2024 at Tuttle Cemetery, 1547 E. Tuttle Road, Ionia, Michigan.
