Paul Kenneth "PK" Groom

Paul Kenneth “PK” Groom, 62 of Elkhart, Indiana died February 6, 2010 at 10:50 P.M. at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1947 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Robert and Margery (Spain) Groom.

Survivors include a son, Jason of Elkhart; three brothers, Neal of Rensselaer, John (Judy) of Lima, Ohio and Gary of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony.

Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Groom was a 1965 graduate of Rensselaer Central High School and and 1967 graduate of International Business College. He worked at Conn Organ, Taylor Products and Bristol Homes as an accountant. He later was a sales and finance person at Topps Mobile Home Center. He enjoyed boating and performing a daily act of kindness for his many friends and neighbors on Simonton Lake. He was a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Purdue Boilermakers. He was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge # 599.
