Paula S. Seegers

Paula S. Seegers, 72 of Bristol, passed away Dec. 15, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born Jan. 24, 1940 in Toledo, OH to Dr. Alfred P. and Dorothy (Henning) Hancuff and married Richard B. Seegers on Oct. 12, 1963 in Elkhart. He survives with a son, Paul (Camla) Seegers of South Bend, a daughter, Mary (Tony) Sippel of Moore, SC and 2 grandsons, Gregory and Eric Sippel. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alfred P. Hancuff Jr.

Paula retired as a medical secretary after 17 years from the Elkhart County Health Dept. Health Education. She also owned an antique shop in Elkhart for 7 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bristol and the Lion’s Club in Bristol. She retired as organist at St. Mary’s Church and was in charge of the music program for 10 years and was a member of the American Guild of Organists. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where a Rosary will be at 4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with visitation a half hour prior. Rev. Robert VanKempen will officiate. Burial will be at St. Vincents Cemetery at a later date.
