Pauline "Polly" Hatfield

Pauline L. “Polly” Hatfield, 88 of Elkhart, passed away July 9, 2012 at Valley View Healthcare Center.

She was born Jan. 20, 1924 in South Bend to Alva and Leona (Jacomet) Melser and married Edward L. Hatfield on May 5, 1946 in South Bend. He died Oct. 13, 2005. Surviving are a daughter, Gale (Ronald) Bale of Myrtle Beach, SC; a son, Mike Hatfield of Elkhart; 4 grandchildren, Robin (Mike) Truman and Michael Hatfield both of Elkhart, Kelly Muzzillo of Florence, SC and Craig S. Bale of Nashville, TN; 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Rose (Robert) Brannan of Brookville, FL. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters.

Polly retired from C.T.S. Corporation where she worked in production.

Visitation will be from 6-7 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where services will be at 7 pm. Rev. Justin Lamason will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
