@ 2:00 A.M. at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 2, 1909 in Elkhart, Indiana to Allen D. and Ruth (Burns) Dickerhoff. She married Orian J. Read on November 2, 1930 in Elkhart, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1992.

Surviving are her son, Richard A. (Lynda) Read of Elkhart, Granddaughter, Barbara L. Read of Niles, Michigan, Granddaughter, Michelle L. Read of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Step-Grandson, B. Kim (Claudia) Volheim of Granger, Indiana, Step Grandson, Kris (Cathy) Volheim of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Step-Granddaughter, Teri Horberg of Champagne, Illinois, Step-Granddaughter, Toni Volheim of Elkhart, Indiana,
13 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Monday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday.
Dr. William Hemmig of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Read retired after 44 years from Elkhart County Abstract Company. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and their Altar Guild. She loved her grandchildren, gardening and traveling. She was a 1929 graduate of the South Bend Business College. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
