Phyllis J. Lough

Phyllis J. Lough, 89, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday November 13, 2022 at Greenleaf Health Campus, Elkhart. She was born June 18, 1933 in Battle Creek, MI to Paul L. and Geneva V. Krichbaum. On January 12, 1952 in Elkhart, she married Jack A. Lough who preceded her in death on October 17, 2012.

Phyllis graduated from Elkhart High School and retired from CTS Corp. after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Four Arts Club, Elkhart Art League and the CTS Quarter Century Club. Phyllis was a very talented artist and an avid gardener. She even tended the gardens at Greenleaf while living there.

Surviving are her children, Connie (Walter) Ainsworth of Helena, MT, Diane (James) Hogstrom of McHenry, IL, Karen (Robert) Combs of Orlando, FL, and Sharon (Edward) LaBeau of Elkhart, Brian R. Lough of Muncie, IN and Michael (Theresa) Lough of Raleigh, NC, 14 grandchildren, Jacqueline (Hud) Venard, Catherine Ainsworth, Amelia (Brian) David, Allison (Emmanuel) Velasco, Tyler Hogstrom, Ryan Combs, Lauren (Eric) Blomster, Brandon (Candace Pendelton) Combs, Kristen Konecny, Lindsey (Kane Clements) Konecny, Jared (James Anderson) Krichbaum, Kendall (Kendra) Lough and Brendan (Kiera Hinton) Lough, 14 Great-grandchildren, and half-sister, Karen Geffert of Kingston, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Kevin R. Lough, sister Helen Andries and brother Robert Krichbaum.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm on Monday November 21, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where services will be at 1 pm with Pastor Keith McFarren officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
