Phyllis Joyce Wood

Phyllis Joyce Wood, 84 of Bristol, IN. died March 30, 2012 @ 3:10 a.m. at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Elkhart. She was born on October 20, 1927 in Elkhart to Charles L. and Ruth (Bartlett) Wood. She married Donald L. Wood on Nov. 26, 1948 in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2006.

Survivors include a son, Donald L. (Gina) Wood II of Bristol; a daughter, Nancy (Donald) Hill of White Pigeon, MI., 6 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald and two sisters, Betty Muhlnickel and Norma Davis.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Pastor Fred Stayton of Bristol United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Mrs. Wood worked at CVS as a clerk for 10 years and at the Party Store in Bristol for 12 years. She was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church and loved to Golf.
