Ray K. Adams, 75, of Middlebury, passed away Oct. 23, 2015 at the Elkhart Hospice House.
He was born January 14, 1940 in Elkhart to LeRoy C. and Pauline (Schram) Adams. He married Judith Stoner on July 1, 1960. She survives along with 2 sons, Craig (Lydia) Adams and Steve (Maxi) Adams; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Jim (Kay) Adams and John Adams.
Ray graduated from Elkhart High School where he played quarterback on the football team. He also played college football for the University of North Dakota.
Ray worked at NIPSCO for 38 years and NAPA for 10 years. His interests were hunting and fishing. He collected duck and fishing decoys. Ray enjoyed teaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews how to enjoy the great outdoors. He was a member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday, Oct. 27th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a celebration of his life will be at 1 pm.
