Raymond B. Romberger

Raymond B. Romberger, 80, of Elkhart, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11:12 am at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born January 18, 1931 in Elkhart to Clyde and Helen M. (Carlson) Romberger. On August 16, 1952 he married V. Patricia Bowman in Elkhart.

Survivors include his wife Patty of Elkhart; daughter Debbie (Steve) Gunts of South Bend; son John (Linda) Romberger of Elkhart; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by granddaughter Michelle Courter.

Raymond, an environmental engineer, was president of Romcraft, Inc., an environmental consulting firm. He was a member of Living Rock Church, enjoyed teaching the Bible and taught Sunday School for many years. He was also a private pilot who loved to fly. He served in the National Guard for 13 years.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Living Rock Church, 10143 Lehman Road, Osceola with Pastor Dennis Trigg officiating. Burial will be at Olive Chapel Cemetery, New Carlisle.
