Raymond Gene Young

Raymond Gene “Bear” Young, 75 of Elkhart, passed away February 23, 2013 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born November 17, 1937 in Elkhart to Eddie R. and Anna Marie (Bradley) Young. He married Peggy A. McCuen on October 28, 1966. She survives with a son, James Bradley (Darlene) Young of Auburndale, FL ; 3 grandchildren, Logan and Riley Tarantino and Chase Young and a brother, Ronald Young of Goshen.

Ray retired as a commercial loan officer for National City Bank and had also worked for Valley American Bank, Salem Bank and St. Joseph Valley Bank. He was a member of Elcona Country Club, Christiana Creek Country Club and enjoyed golfing. He was an avid I.U. sports fan. He graduated from Concord High School, earned a business degree from Indiana University and his Masters degree from the University of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army.

Private family graveside services will be Monday at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
