Richard K. Fischer

Richard K. Fischer, 57, of Elkhart, passed away September 26, 2008 at his home.

He was born February 10,1951 in Chicago to Heinz O. and Verdun (Hill) Fischer and married Irene "Lani" Niggebrugge on August 22, 1975. She survives with a son, Ryan A. Fischer of Ephrata, PA, a daughter, Stephanie N. Fischer at home, a granddaughter, 2 sisters, Suzanne E. Donahue of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Marilyn (Don) Stein of Tuckerton, NJ and his parents of Cherry Hill, NJ.

Mr. Fischer was national sales and product manager for Bayridge, a division of Breckenridge, Inc. in Nappanee for 9 years. He previously was regional sales manager for Damon Corp. for 7 years. He attended for 2 years at the University of South Carolina. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of River Oaks Community Church; Harley Owners Group; National Genealogical Society, and he met every morning at Martins Cobblestone for coffee with his friends.

Friends may call from 4-8 pm Tuesday at River Oaks Church, 58020 CR# 115, Goshen and an hour prior to the service at 10:30 am Wednesday at the Church. Pastor Scott Tilley will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.

Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc.
