Richard L. Toth, Sr.

Richard L. Toth Sr., 85 of Elkhart, died at 1:15 pm April 5, 2016 at Greenleaf Living Center.
He was born on May 12, 1930 in South Bend and married Loretta on Nov. 14, 1958 in Plymouth. She died on Jan. 5, 1999. Mr. Toth is survived by one daughter, Karen Toth Hitt of Elkhart; and 3 sons, Richard (Beverly) Toth Jr. of Goshen, Ronald J. (Christine) Toth and James R. (Lily) Toth both of Elkhart and 4 grandchildren. One sister, Irene Kovacics; and two brothers, James Kovacics and Joseph Kovacics preceded him in death.
There will be no visitation, but family members will attend a private memorial service.
Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War. Early in his career, he worked for Studebaker Automobile Company, and in his later years he worked at Federal Paperboard in Elkhart.
Some of Richard’s interests included cooking for his family, especially during Notre Dame football weekends; cheering for the Chicago Bears; playing cards; and he loved talking about cars.
