Richard A. Weaver

Richard A. “Rick” Weaver, 59, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at his home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1952 in Elkhart to Richard W. and Betty A. (Walerko) Weaver. Surviving are two sisters, Gayle (Thomas) Herman of Redmond, WA , Julie (Thomas) Paloncy of Elkhart and a niece Caitlin Herman and a nephew Scott Herman. His parents preceded him in death.

Rick graduated from Elkhart High School in 1971 and was an electrician for various recreational vehicle companies and enjoyed camping, visiting local lakes and spending time with family and friends.

Family and friends may gather from 1-2 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where a memorial service will begin at 2 pm. Interment will follow at St. Vincents Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, generous donations may be given to the American Heart Association.

A gathering of friends and family following the interment will be determined at a later date.
