Robert R. Gaugler, Sr.

Robert R. Gaugler Sr. 75 of Elkhart, IN died Mar. 20, 2010 at Hospice House of Elkhart.

He was born on May 13, 1934 in Osceola, Ind. to Raymond R. and Bernice (Smith) Gaugler. He married Germaine R. DeMeyer on May 13, 1956 in Osceola, IN.

She survives along with a daughter, Cynthia (Joseph) Lewis of Goshen, two sons, Terry (Robin) and Douglas (Melissa) Gaugler both of Elkhart; 13 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; two brothers, Richard (Mary) of Edwardsburg, Mich. and Karl (Dixie) of Las Vegas, Nev. and a sister Sharon (John) Oberg of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Jr., Dennis Lee and Michael, two brothers, Dennis & Jimmy and a sister, Joyce Schmohe.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM. Wed. at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart with Pastor Bob Moore and Rev. John Horsley of Calvary Chapel in Granger officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Gaugler retired after 44 years as a locksmith for Adams & Westlake Co.
