Robert H. Henriksen

Robert H. Henriksen, 93, of Elkhart, passed away at 11:15 am, December 31, 2008 at the Elkhart Hospice House. He was born on August 25, 1915 in Park Falls,Wisconsin to Henry H. and Dorothy (Danneman) Henriksen.He married Jennie E. Eby on April 19, 1936 in Middlebury, Indiana.

She survives along with a son, Robert H. (Shelia) Henriksen Jr. of Seminole, Florida; two daughters, Donna Wallace of California and Tammy (Steve) Stoner Robinson of Elkhart; six granddaughters; a brother, Al Henriksen and a sister, Lorraine Lutz both of Chicago, Illinois. A brother, Bill Henriksen, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart with the funeral service being held at 1:00 PM. The Reverend Scott Turskey of Winding Waters Brethren Church, Elkhart will officiate. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury, Indiana.

Mr. Henriksen retired as a purchasing agent for Excel Industries in 1980. He later sold real estate for Best Realty Company. He was a charter member of Winding Waters Brethren Church; a Master Gardener and enjoyed landscaping,woodworking and sports.He was the best dad anyone could ask for.
