Robert "Bob" Maloney

Robert “Bob” Maloney, 90 of White Pigeon, MI passed away on Tuesday August 6, 2024 at Greenleaf health Campus in Elkhart, IN. Bob was born on July 26, 1934 to Robert and Thelma Maloney in Goshen, IN. Bob married Janet Leonard on June 11, 1976 at the Ambassadors for Christ Church in Elkhart, IN.

Bob honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He taught collision repair at the Elkhart Area Career Center for over 20 years , where he enjoyed teaching students how to paint and work with cars. Bob has a passion for cars, especially his corvette. He enjoyed living and fishing on Long Lake. He was a fine musician with several talents from playing guitar with his band “Vision” to teaching people how to play guitar. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Janet Maloney, children Shayne Kathleen Maloney of Hobbs, NM., Michael Maloney of Elkhart, IN and Kelly (Rick) Speas of Rockford, MI; grandchildren Seana Maloney, Joel Luevano, Sonia (Matthew) Campbell, Austin (Caitlin) Speas, Haley (Collin) McCain, and Seth Speas; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Nathanael, Ofelia, Olivia, Morgan, Reagan, Madison and Caroline; his nephew Marc (Sally) Maloney of Elkhart, IN great nieces and nephews Evan, Bryce and Anna. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Maloney and Thelma Powell, brother Patrick Maloney and sister Mary Ann Maloney.

Friends may visit with family from 3-5 pm on Sunday August 11, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 with full military honors at 5pm. A private burial will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in August, MI.
