Robert L Meckley

Robert Lane Meckley, 57, of Elkhart passed away on February 3, 2017 in Elkhart. He was born on April 13, 1959 in Lock Haven, PA to Robert G. and Rebecca (Campbell) Meckley. He married Frances Smith on June 6, 1981 in Kane, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Fran, of Elkhart; 3 Sons: Eric (LeAnn) Meckley of Durham, NC, Chris (Stephanie) Meckley of Blacksburg, VA and Kyle Meckley of Portland, OR; 4 Grandchildren: Jonah, Simon, Ezekiel and Ruth; His father, Robert G. Meckley of Lakeland, FL; His mother, Rebecca Hottel of Kane, PA; and a sister, Sherry McKinney of Warminster, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Meckley.

He was an Ordained Minister in the area for many years. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed coaching sports (especially baseball), history and C.S. Lewis.

Friends may visit with the family at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home from 12-2 P.M. Tuesday February 7, 2017, and from 4-5 P.M. at Adamsville Road Church of God. The Funeral Service will follow at 5 P.M. at the church. Burial will take place in Kane, PA.
