Robert A. Prugh, 78 of Edwardsburg, Mich., died at 1:53 am Monday, April 11, 2011 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born April 20, 1932 in Elkhart to Kenneth A. and Helen D. (Veatch) Prugh and married Jessie L. Lim on August 11, 1976 in Las Vegas. She survives with 2 daughters, Keena Danika Prugh of Edwardsburg and Jennifer L. (Bill) Nash of Mishawaka; a son, David E. (Sue) Prugh of Elkhart, several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Nancy Johnson of California, Diane Trudell of Howell, Mich and 5 brother-in-laws, Dennis, Rex, Rory, Nelson and Steve. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Prugh and 2 sisters, Shirley Stewart and Janet Stow.
Bob retired as the owner of Paramount Plastics in Elkhart which he founded in 1982. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during the Korean War and was a member of the Elk’s Lodge in Elkhart. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching western movies. He loved socializing with his friends.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart where services will be held at 11 am Friday. Rev. Joseph McCormick will officiate. Burial will follow at Five Points Cemetery where the U.S. Marine Corps. Honor Guard and the D.A.V #19 Elkhart will render military honors.
