Robert "Bob" Edward Todt

Robert “Bob” Edward, Todt, age 72, of Elkhart passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Eastlake Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Elkhart. Bob was born to James and Mary Todt on November 16, 1949 in Elkhart. He married the love of his life, Susan Phares, on June 7, 1975 at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Millersburg, IN.

Bob graduated from Elkhart High School class of 1968 and attended Southwest Michigan College and Indiana University South Bend. He honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. He worked at Whitehall Laboratories, Miles Laboratories  and Bayer. He and his wife are members at Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart. Bob enjoyed waterskiing and boating on Lake Wawasee in Syracuse, IN and spending time at his family’s cottage. In the winter he enjoyed snow skiing. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.He was a wonderful person and always went out of his way to help others,

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan Todt; their children, Michael (Abby) Todt of Ft. Wayne, IN., Jennifer (Brian) Bulmer of Greenwood, IN. and Matthew (Kelsey) Todt of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Julia, Greta, Gracie, Miles, Vincent and Lucy; his sister Deborah Rowland of Elkhart, IN.

Friends may visit with family from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Grace Lutheran Church, 831 West Marion Street, Elkhart, IN 46516 with visitation one hour before the services at the church.
