Rollin James Campbell

Rollin James Campbell, 89 of Elkhart, passed away March 8, 2013 at the Golden Living Center, Elkhart.

He was born July 13, 1923 in Brighton, IN to Norton and Delilia Campbell. He married Cartha Carlisle on May 16, 1987. She survives with two daughters from a previous marriage, Janet (Cecil) Lamar of Goshen and Bonnie (Randy) Ring of Casa Grande, AZ; 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Grover of Goshen. He was preceded in death by a sister Ella Dora Wogaman.

He retired May 15, 1987 from Starcraft Corporation and also worked as a security guard. He was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and loved fishing and helping people.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 pm Monday and an hour prior to the 11 am service on Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Pastor Brian Widden will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens where graveside military honors will be rendered.
