Rose E. Hairell, 77, of White Pigeon, MI, passed away Sunday Feb. 11 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 24, 1940 in Marion, IN to Lute and Mary Marie (Clifton) Stanley.
She is survived by her children; Connie Sue Hulse of Union; Donald Strawn of Union; Lou Freitas of Elkhart; Tammy (James) Nantz of Sweetser, IN; Tonya (Robert) Kujawski of Cassopolis, MI;
Max (Crystal) Hairell of Elkhart; 14 grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister Donna Ditton of Marion, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Strawn, 2 brothers Gene and Charles and 2 sisters Maxine and Margie.
Rose lived in Marion most of her life and relocated to this area 30 years ago. She worked as Head of Environmental Services for Rosewood Terrace and retired from Eastlake Nursing and Rehab.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, bowling, Euchre, Saturday morning breakfasts with her friends Sally, Lloyd and Dick and an occasional trip to Four Winds Casino.
Family and friends may call from 11am to 2pm Friday Feb. 16 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where a service will be at 2pm with Pastor David Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Grove Cemetery, Union.
Memorials may be made Heartland Hospice or Cass County Cancer Services.
