Roy John Cuvo of Alfred Street in Elkhart left his home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2009 @ 11:36 P.M.
He was born on March 15, 1943 in Easton, Pennsylvania to John A. and Angelina M. (Bifarella) Cuvo. He married the former Shirley A. Paulus on November 2, 1963 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Easton, Pennsylvania. They later moved to Elkhart in 1964. She survives along with their three beautiful daughters, Sherri (Mark) Ayrea of Mishawaka, Indiana, Lorri Warren of Elkhart and Tammy (Cuvo) Mejia and her fiancé Randy L. Zook of Elkhart, grandchildren; John, Samantha, Nicholas and Natalie Ayrea of Mishawaka, Indiana, Brittany and Ronnie Warren of Elkhart, Indiana, Kyli and Kelsey Mejia of Elkhart, all of whom he loved to spend time with, a brother, Samuel (Jessica) Cuvo of Elkhart, a nephew, Keith Cuvo of White Pigeon, Michigan, cousins; Louise and Ron Gaghan of Elkhart and Samuel Lobb of Easton, Pennsylvania. His parents preceded him in death along with one niece, Kim Marie Cuvo.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday and one hour prior to the services at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday with the Reverend David Klahr of New Creation Fellowship Church, Elkhart.
He loved his Nascar races favoring Jeff Gordon, his Notre Dame Football and camping and cooking at Jellystone Park with his wife and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and friend to all he met. He will be sadly missed by all. He attended Notre Dame High School of Easton, Pennsylvania and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
