Ruth I. Bonfiglio

Ruth I. Bonfiglio, 96 of Elkhart, passed away on June 21, 2016 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, Goshen.

She was born Jan. 26, 1920 in Goshen to Chester N and Mary (Lamb) Lee. She married James Bonfiglio on Feb. 15, 1947 in Elkhart. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1987. Surviving are 2 daughters, Judi (Gary) Smith of Carmel and Janet (Dean) McDowell of White Pigeon, MI; 3 grandsons, Matt Koeppen, Ross Koeppen and Nick (Sara) Kraft and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Fred and Mervin Lee and a sister, Ethel Dodgson.
Ruth graduated from Goshen High School, where she grew up and moved to Elkhart in 1950. She was a secretary for General Telephone Company and for Dr. Kanagy’s office.

There will be no visitation or services at this time. Ruth will be cremated and will be entombed at Chapel of Hope mausoleum, Rice Cemetery with her husband.
