Ruth L. Close

Ruth L. Close, 84, of Osceola, passed away August 29, 2011 at 4:57 pm at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Elkhart. She was born September 28, 1926 in Mishawaka to Carl M. and Esther (Behney) Brumbaugh. On October 4, 1947, she married Paul W. Close who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son Martin Close of Elkhart; daughter Paula (John) Frank of Elkhart; granddaughters Kristin (Bill) Boon and Kari Tucker; and great-grandsons Tyler, Connor and Jarrod Boon and Kristian Zalsman.

Private memorial services will take place at a later date. Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Stone Crossing, Elkhart, is assisting the family with arrangements.
