Ruth R. Harrison

Ruth R. Harrison, 87 of Elkhart, died at 9: 46 am, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Riverside Village, Elkhart.

She was born August 1, 1923 in Elkhart and was adopted as a child by Vernon and Sarah Mann. She married John E. “Jack” Harrison on July 11, 1942 in Elkhart. He died April 24, 2009. Surviving are 2 sons Larry (Nellanne) Harrison of Indianapolis and Carl (Sharon) Harrison of Arizona, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a homemaker and was well known as an antique doll collector. She graduated from Elkhart High School with the class of 1942.

Family and friends may call from 1:30 pm Thursday until the service at 2:30 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Reverend Jack McGlasson will officiate. Burial will follow at Edwardsburg Cemetery.
