Ruthine Eaglebarger

Ruthine Eaglebarger, 83, of Mishawaka died June 9, 2010 at Elkhart Hospice House. She was born May 29, 1927 to Jake and Silvany (Wireman) Miller in Duco, KY. She married Donald J. Eaglebarger on July 20, 1946 in South Bend. He died April 29, 2001.

She is survived by a son H. Ray (Vicki) Eaglebarger and daughter Barbara (Gib) Ball both of Granger; 4 grandchildren Dawn (Brian) Loop of North Liberty, Brian Eaglebarger of Mishawaka, Craig (Tracy) Moss of Arizona, and John Eaglebarger of Granger; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers John E. (Doris) Miller of South Bend and Jake (Betty) Miller, Jr. of Arizona; sisters Geraldine (Gene) Manns of Warsaw and Shelby Jean (Jim) Reed of Winamac. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Chalmer Miller and Fred Miller; and sisters Odith Lee Miller, Edna Wireman, Lois Nipper, Ruby Miller and Irene Scofield.

Ruthine retired from Patrick Industries in 1982 after 27 years of employment. She was a member of the Life Tabernacle Church in Elkhart and the UAW Local 428.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 7:30 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart and one hour prior to the 3:30 pm funeral service Sunday at Life Tabernacle Church, 1135 Middlebury St., Elkhart. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
