Sharon L. Pappas

Sharon L. Pappas, 62, of Elkhart, died at 11:00 pm July 17, 2010 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born April 14, 1948 to the late Jack L. and Geraldine M. (Gardner) Lightfoot in Elkhart. She married Kenton Shook in 1967. She then married Jack Pappas on May 14, 2004. He survives along with a son Louis (Jodie) Lightfoot of Elkhart; 2 daughters Tracy Shook of Lehigh Acres, FL and Geraldine (Chris Bolt) Shook of Ft. Myers, FL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother Robert Lightfoot and daughter-in-law Kelly Hendershot, both of Elkhart.

She attended New Testament Bible Church and Mountain Top Church, where she and her husband enjoyed meals and fellowship. She was a homemaker who loved NASCAR, dancing, and karaoke. Her favorite song was Folsom Prison Blues. She was also a Notre Dame fan.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where her funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am. Pastor Shirley Fox of New Testament Bible Church will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
