Shayla M. Aston

Shayla M. Aston, 4 of Mishawaka, Indiana died May 8, 2009 at 11:15 A.M. at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. She was born on September 16, 2004 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Shelly Aston.

She survives along with a sister, Shianna Aston at home, four aunts; Linda Peffley, Betty Austin and Gwen Lower all of Elkhart and Diane (Bill) Riordan of Montgomery, Illinois and an uncle, Kenneth (Deb) Lower of Aurora, Illinois.

A memorial service for Shayla will be held at a later date. Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart is assisting the family with arrangements.

Shayla loved to sing, dance and play with her friends. She was a wonderful daughter, fantastic sister and daredevil who loved to make people laugh. She loved chocolate milk, pizza, Sponge Bob and baby dolls. She will be a guardian angel. As an organ donor, she saved the lives of 8 children. She attended the Growing Kids Learning Center.
