Shirley M. DePree,74 of Elkhart, Indiana died January 7, 2010 at 5:35 P.M. at Golden Living Center. She was born on June 5, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan to Gerald and Lucile (Warner) Bullard. She married Kenneth DePree on May 19, 1955 in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene H. of Elkhart, Indiana and Kenneth of Indianapolis; two daughters, Cheryl (Mark) Smeltzer of Bristol and Cindy (David) Russell; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry and Garry Bullard both of Muskegon; two sisters, Geraldine Humphrey of Traverse City, Michigan and Alicia Hawkins of Cal Mesa, California. A son, Charles H., two daughters, Debra Goorhouse and Brenda Bishop, two brothers, Gerald & Leroy Bullard and Donald Smith and a granddaughter, Amber Lynn DePree all preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 2-6 P.M. Monday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart where services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Reverend Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church, Goshen will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
