Stanley R. Godshalk

Stanley Robert Godshalk, age 83, passed away at his home on Sunday January 27, 2019. He was born on September 1, 1935 in Elkhart to Robert H. and Florence Godshalk. On December 6, 1969 at Southfield Community Church in Southfield, MI, he married Karen Smith.

Stanley retired from Bayer / Miles Laboratory after 40 years of service in shipping and receiving. He honorably served his country in the US Army. He was a member in his youth of the DeMolay International and then the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Godshalk, their sons; Robert (Tracy) Godshalk and Joseph (Sally) Godshalk both of Elkhart, grandchildren, Alyssa Godshalk, Sebastian Darr, Preston Skinner, Arielle Godshalk, Torry Merwin and Ciara Collett and his dog Wienerschnitzel.

Friends may visit with family on Monday February 4, 2019 from 4pm to 8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 11 am with Pastor Thomas Short officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola with full military honors.
