Stanley C. Messick

Stanley C. Messick, 52 of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at his residence.
He was born March 4, 1964 in Mishawaka to Maynard C. and Olive (Stanley) Messick. He married Lisa M. Carte on April 12, 2016 in Elkhart. She survives with a step-son, Randy (Elizabeth) Kime of Elkhart; step-grandchildren, Jaxson and Stella Kime of Elkhart; nephew, Jeremy (Christiana) Messick of Goshen and a sister, Maryann (Curt) Kniffin of Lakeland, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pam Marion and brother, Vince Messick.
Stan graduated in 1982 from Elkhart Memorial High School and was a commercial fisherman in the Florida Keys.
A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Nov. 5th at 70551 Sunset Blvd., Union, Mich.
Arrangements for Stan are under the care and direction of Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart.
