Stanley C. Scearce

Stanley C. “Ike” Scearce, 78 of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 at Riverside Village.

He was born Jan. 13, 1937 in Elkhart to Stanley A. and Martha Scearce. He married Betty J. Brooks on Dec. 7, 1955 in Elkhart. She survives with a brother, Keith Scearce of Wisconsin and 2 sisters, Shirley of Goshen and Nancy of Kansas City, MO.

Ike served in the U.S. Army in Korea and loved to fish. He retired from Louie & Kelly’s after 35 years as a bartender.

Visitation for Ike will be from 10 am to 11 am Wednesday, Feb. 11th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Hope, Rice Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered.
