Stephen W. Ball, 49 of 12895 Darlene Ct., Granger, died June 19, 2009 in his home.
He was born September 17, 1959 in Elkhart to John V. and Martha L. “Marty” (Goss) Ball Sr. Surviving are his mother, Martha “Marty” Ball of Elkhart, 2 sisters, Cynthia A. (Brian) Hague of Northport, FL and Julia (Tom) Lacy of Elkhart and a brother, John V. (Jennifer) Ball Jr. of Bristol. His father, John V. Ball Sr. preceded him in death in 2000.
Steve did copywriting for B.J. Thompson, Ash Advertising and Boger Martin Fairchild. He then started his own advertising agency Creative Network in Granger. He was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Elkhart and was attending Granger Community Church. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Indiana University. He was a former member of the Elkhart Rotary Club and was an avid sports fan of IU, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears. He graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1978 and earned degrees in Business and Journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Friends may call from 3-6 pm on Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart where a memorial service will be held at 6 pm Tuesday. Reverend Dr. Mark Fenstermacher of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will take place.
