Suzanne (Varenne) Spenle, 101, was born on April 9, 1909 in Paris, France to Edmond and Emily (Bonnet) Varenne. She came to the United States in 1924 and lived in Chicago, IL. She married Edward Spenle in 1934.
He preceded her in death. Her only relation is a Step Nephew, Robert (Glenda) Someliana of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Suzanne worked for the Garment Industry and became a fine tailor. She belonged to the Garment Industry Union. After her husband died, she moved to Union, MI. to be with her mother and lived there for many years. Around 1990 she moved to Elkhart. Her latest residency was at Brentwood Apartments.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart with Father Bob Van Kempen of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bristol officiating of which she was a member.
