Sylvia M. Nation

Sylvia M. Nation, 80, of 1325 Greencroft Drive, Goshen, IN, formerly of Elkhart, passed away October 28, 2008 at Greencroft Gables Healthcare Center, Goshen.

She was born May 3, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Betty (Price) Worley and married John A. Nation on September 2, 1982 in St. Joseph, MI. He died on September 4, 1997. Surviving are 4 sons, Charles (Kay) Hershberger of Silver Lake, IN, William (Diane) Hershberger of Goshen, IN, Steven (Katherine) Hershberger of Greenwood, IN and David (Dee) Hershberger of Indianapolis, IN; 1 daughter, Carolyn J. Humphries of Goshen, IN; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy (Ken) Schaeffer of Ceresco, MI.

Mrs. Nation retired as a production worker from Accra-Pac and previously worked as a machine operator for 24 years for NIBCO in Elkhart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

At her request, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be given to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
