Thomas K. Johnson

Thomas K. Johnson, 67 of Elkhart died June 10, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at home. He was born on Oct. 30,1943 in Elkhart to Irvin K. and Ernestine J. (Thorp) Johnson.

Survivors include a sister, Janice L. Maier of Elkhart, three brothers; David K. (Donna), Stephen K. Johnson both of Elkhart and Roger K. (Susan) Johnson of Alexandria, Minn. and an Aunt, Susie (Ray) Reas of Elkhart.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart with the Reverend David Garty, Chaplain at Elkhart General Hospital officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery with the United States Marine Corps. and DAV Post 19 providing military graveside honors.

Mr. Johnson was a retired Captain for the Elkhart City Fire Department. He was one of the first Paramedics in the department. He loved fishing; camping and jig saw puzzles and was an I.U. and Notre Dame fan. He served in United States Marine Corps. from 1961-1965.
