Tim Sipress, Sr.

Tim Sipress Sr. of Elkhart, Indiana, formerly of Los Angeles, California died at 80 years of age on  August 24, 2022 after a long illness. Tim is survived by his daughter Kristy Sipress of Elkhart, his son Tim Sipress Jr. of Elkhart, his siblings: Luanne Botimer of South Haven, Mi., Beth Ann Robinson and Holli Day Sipress of Elkhart, 4  grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Hope Rhodes, parents Arthur and Kay (Cochran) Sipress of Elkhart, sister Linda Sipress of Elkhart, and brothers Tom Sipress and Terry Sipress of Elkhart.

Tim returned to Elkhart in 2014 to be close to family after many years of living in Los Angeles and San Franciso, California. He was an avid record collector. He operated a record business for decades and made many friends while selling and trading vinyl. He took acting classes and had some small stage roles while in California. Tim enjoyed the arts and film. His vast knowledge of movies, actors and genres was a result of his lifelong hobby. Discussing music was not just a hobby, but a passion, and one in which he showed a high level of expertise.

Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46514 is handling the interment. There will be a private funeral and memorial.
