Tommy R. Brown

Tommy R. Brown, 54 of Elkhart, passed away October 20, 2012 at his home.

He was born November 12, 1957 in Cleveland, TN to Dearl M. and Wanda Pauline (Todd) Brown Sr. and married Miriam A. Nicely on July 29, 1978 in Elkhart. She survives along with 2 sons, Ronnie (Christine Clements) Brown of Elkhart and Mikel (Amber) Brown of South Bend, daughter-in-law Samantha Brown; 6 grandchildren, Chase, Breckin, Lincoln and Madden Brown and Cherie and Marissa Clements; 1 sister, Wanda “Darlene” Heerschop of Bristol and a brother, Dearl M. Brown Jr. of Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tommy had attended Elkhart Central High School and worked for Goshen Coach in Elkhart in the cap line for commercial busses and attended Abundant Life Ministries. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandkids events. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was a student of Star Martial Arts.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday. Pastor Brian Stutzman will officiate. Cremation will follow services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may given to the family or to the Bob George Memorial Fund c/o Bristol American Legion Post 143.
