Tony L. Geier, 48 “Jimtown” Elkhart passed Sunday May 1, 2011 at Simon Cancer Center, IU Medical, Indianapolis. He went ahead of his soul mate of 30 years, Sandi, and his two best friends, his sons, Eddie (Heather) and Erik Geier, two precious Grandchildren that he adored, Gina Marie and Erik Anthony Ray Geier II all of Elkhart. He has five Sisters; Susan (Roger) White of Macon, GA., Carol (Lynn) Loucks, Julie (Steve) Clark, Mary (John) Smith all of Elkhart, Joyce Murphy of KY, one Brother, Alan (Sherry) Geier of Elkhart and one Uncle, Charles (Eva) Sult of South Bend, IN. His Father, Anthony and Mother, Eleanor Geier preceded him in death. He now joins them. Tony was also very loved by his extended family: Mother-In-Law Barbara Smith and the late Howard R. Smith, Penny (Bill) Wine, Melanie (Dave) Cuthbert, Mike (Jonna) Garver and Greg Garver all of Elkhart.
Tony graduated and played football at Jimtown. He married Sandi right out of High School. He loved his family and Grandkids more than life itself. He loved to Grill, cook, Garden and work in his yard. Most of all, he loved to make people smile. He beautified a small piece of this world with his Purple Bushes that he loved to share. Known as “Jus Pork in Round”, he treated many to his special pulled pork. He will be so deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, especially the grandbabies who will miss out on their “Grampy.”
