Trudy L. (Boal) Manderfeld

Trudy L.  Manderfeld, age 73 of Shipshewana, passed at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Trudy was born on September 7, 1947 in Sturgis, Michigan to James Arthur and Elizabeth Boal. She married David Lloyd Manderfeld in 1984.

Trudy retired as an electrician from Bayer Corporation formerly known as Miles. She was a Local Union President of United Steel workers #11273, a member of the Women’s Auxiliary Legion #215 LaGrange and the United Way Elkhart. Trudy was a volunteer at the LaGrange Council on Aging. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Trudy is survived by her husband, David Lloyd Manderfeld; their children, Lori Ann (Michael) Callahan, William James (Michelle) Taylor, Brent Richard Taylor, Christopher Charles Manderfeld and Heather Renee Vincze. 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Linda (Marty) Salisbury, Gail (Tracy) Ward, Cindy (Jim) Gingerich and James (Diane) Boal.

Friends may visit with family from 4-8 pm on Monday, May 31, 2021 Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be at 11 am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the funeral, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to The Arc of LaGrange County, 235 West 300 North, Howe, IN 46746. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, Indiana.
