Virginia L. Phelps

Virginia L. “Jenny” Phelps, 77, of Elkhart, died at 7:23 am, December 7, 2009 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Elkhart.

She was born May 14, 1932 in Elkhart to Edward and Bessie “Betty” (Unrue) Phelps.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Diana Schrock of Elkhart and Jeanne Schrock Yates of Daytona Beach, FL; 1 granddaughter, Brooke Lynn Yates of Daytona Beach, FL and 1 brother, Ron (Teri) Phelps of Elkhart.

Jenny was a homemaker and had previously worked for Real Services and the Y.M.C.A. in Elkhart.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Friday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, where friends may call from noon until the service time. Reverend Marjorie Braden, Spiritual Care Counselor, will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
