Vivian L. Hook, 94 of Riverside Village, Elkhart passed away February 15, 2013 at 5:08 P.M. She was born on November 18, 1918 in Elkhart
to Leroy and Selma (Carlson) Ferm. She married Charles D. Hook on May 10, 1937 in South Bend, IN. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1999.
Survivors include two daughters; Janet (Edward) Blyly and Judy (Jim) Laws both of Elkhart, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. A sister, Katherine Baker preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing where services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday. Reverend Mike Fisher of Grace Bible Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
Mrs. Hook worked at C.G. Conn, C.T.S. and Sykes Jewelry Store. She retired from Bayer Corporation after 12 years in the credit department.
She was a member of Albright Church, past member of WMS Credit Association and previously active in the WMS Democratic Party. She called herself a “zipper” because she was always on the go.
