Wanda J. Fisher,64 of Elkhart died
April 5, 2008 @ 1:50 P.M. at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on March 17, 1944 in Ward, West Virginia to H.W. and Myrtle M. (Kirby) Simms. She married Albert (Frank) Fisher on April 13, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1993.
Surviving are two sons; Franklin D. (Loretta) Fisher and Thomas A. Fisher both of Elkhart, Indiana, two daughters; Melissa E. (Donovan) McCormick and Wanda S. Perry both of Elkhart, Indiana, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, Earl W. (Sue) Simms of Indianapolis, Indiana and Chuck (Tammy) Link Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland and a half sister, Penelope (Robert) Lee of Alabama. A brother, Lee A. Simms, two sisters; Peggy Birkey and Diane Boggess and a half sister Elizabeth Goodrich preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart with Pastor Jack Smith of Elijah's Fire International Church officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service for visitation. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.
Mrs. Fisher worked for Innovative Designs as a monogrammer since 1986. Prior to that she worked for four years as a cutter for Green Design Products. Memorial contributions may be given to Feed The Children organization.
