Wanda R. Risser

Wanda R. Risser, 101 of Elkhart, passed away January 7, 2014 at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born May 8, 1912 in Lorain, Ohio to George and Regina (Pindel) Neidballa. She married Willis E. Risser on March 7, 1936. He died on February 14, 1991. Surviving are a son, Larry D. (Barbara) Risser of Elkhart, 2 daughters, Joan (Ron) Edman of Ft. Myers Beach, FL and Karen (Bob) Gaff of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Edward, Walter and Carl Neidballa and a sister, Leona Melkus.

Wanda was a homemaker and member of Dunlap United Methodist Church and then Faith United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible.

Family and friends may call an hour prior to the 12 pm service on Saturday, Jan. 11th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center. Pastor Dave Severance of Hubbard Hill will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
