Ward S. Dirks, 52, of Middlebury, passed away at his home on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. He was born on Jan. 5, 1966 in Elkhart, IN to Marvin T. and G. Jeannine (Clark) Dirks.
Ward is survived by his children: Austin Dirks, of Middlebury, Shae Dirks, of Elkhart, and Larissa Dirks of Middlebury; 2 grandchildren: Jeremiah and Xavier Dirks; his companion and best friend, Shelia Dirks, of Bristol; his mother, Jeannine Dirks, and a brother, Justin (Judy) Dirks, both of Middlebury.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Dirks.
Ward was a self-employed truck driver. He previously attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a current member of Bristol United Methodist Church. He donated heavily to Voice of the Martyrs.
Friends may visit with the family from 12-1 PM on Thursday Oct. 4, 2018 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 1 PM, with Pastor Gary Lewis of Bristol United Methodist Church officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bristol United Methodist Church or Voice of the Martyrs.
