Willard “Bill” Addison, 91 of Elkhart, died on Aug. 18, 2016 in Bellevue, NE. He was born Nov. 9, 1924 in Battle Creek, MI to Ben and Anna (Russell) Addison.

Pauline M. Addison, 92 of Elkhart, died on Sept. 30, 2016 in Bellevue, NE. She was born April 10, 1924 in Huntington, IN to Norval E. and Mabel L. (Brumbaugh) Adams.

Bill and Pauline were married on April 21, 1945 in Elkhart. Surviving are a son, Michael B. (Ann) Addison of Bellevue, NC; 3 grandchildren, Heather Kay Spahn, Alan Scott Addison and Brandy Lynn Nelson and 2 great-grandchildren. Pauline is also survived by a sister, Phyllis (Dwight)Worden of Fair Oaks, CA and preceded in death by a sister, Helen Noffsinger. Bill was preceded in death by 2 sisters, June Thomas and Hughwena Gauss.

Bill was a graduate of Manchester College and Indiana University. He was employed by Elkhart Community Schools for 39 years as a teacher and administrator. He was a life member of the N.E.A. and the D.A.V. He also was a member of the Elkhart Lions Club and served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Pauline attended Manchester College was employed by Elkhart Community Schools for 30 years as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Four Arts Club and the Retired Indiana Public Employees Assoc.

A memorial service for Bill and Pauline will be at 1 pm Thursday, Oct. 27th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where family and friends may visit from noon until the service time. Rev. Keith McFarren will officiate. Entombment of both of their urns will follow in the Harmony Tower at Rice Cemetery. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army and D.A.V. #19 for Bill.
