William G. Conway, Sr.

William G. Conway, Sr., 87, died August 11, 2011 at 12:39 pm at his home in Elkhart. He was born January 10, 1924 to stepfather James Elsea and his mother Frances (Sanders) Elsea in Anderson, IN. He married Wanda L. Powers in Elkhart on August 31, 1968.

She survives along with 2 sons William G. (Joyce M.) Conway, Jr. and Carlton Conway, both of Elkhart; 1 daughter Joyce L. Conway of Wheat Ridge, CO; 2 stepsons Virgil and Archie Storm, and stepdaughter Wilma (Dale) McDougall, all of Elkhart; half-sister Marjorie Simpson of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Conway worked as a dry cleaner for 17 years at Jaxon Cleaners. He was an avid bowler and a member of Michiana Deaf Senior Citizens.
